·       It is installed in a reinforcement concrete pit. There are also such kind of road blockers like surface mounted road blocker, mobile road blockers, shallow mount road blockers etc. 

How does a shallow mount road blocker seem?

·       A shallow mount road blocker seems like a steel wall which is going to underground and raise from ground.

·       As they have low depth but high blocking, the link mechanism is available on the shallow mounted road blockers which is folding when it opens the way.

·       They are mostly painted traffic yellow and there are black stripes on it. It is possible to paint with other Ral Codes paints instead of yellow.

·       Shallow mount road blockers have a push button console which is placed to operate it.

·       Kind of access control systems, card reader systems, remote control systems can be connected to operate the road blockers.

·       It is enough to push UP button once to raise it or DOWN button to lower it.

·       It has also Emergency Stop Button to avoid accidents.

·       Some of them has Emergency Raise Button to raise it fast for vehicle attacks.

·       Basically, the hydraulic power unit pumps hydraulic oil to the pistons and pistons pushes the blocking part. Thus, the road blocker raises.

·       In case of power failure; it is possible to raise and lower it with manual hand pump, or hydraulic accu., or DC motor and DC pump with dry batteries.
